POTTERY - Students will create pinch, pebble and coil pots with handles for spring baskets
Native American Pottery Designs

WEEK OF MARCH 10TH:
AREA & PERIMETER = NOTAN ART
Steps and directions to do with the kids for the first 3 cuts.
  1. cut from one edge and end cut out on same edge
  2. Center square
  3. place cut out back into square for gluing
  4. place glue on cut out and flip
  5. line up corners to keep a straight rim.
  6. Repeat
WEEK OF FEBRUARY 24TH:
Introduce students to William Kooning
Using black crayon, students will create a pattern for a stained glass window. Using one base color from color wheel, analogous colors and white paints will be mixed to create as many monochromatic colors as possible.

of warm and cool colors.

Intoduce DRAW APP
Primary & Secondary Colors - to experiment using tools - one continuous line.
Brainstorm things that are YELLOW, BLUE, RED & orange, purple, green
HOMOPHONES - brainstorm homophones for color names
PLAY PICTIONARY WITH A PARTNER using the color pen of the color of the object you are drawing.
Draw a picture with DRAW app and tell your story to your partner.
UNWRAP - WAYS THE OBJECTS ARE THE SAME AND DIFFERENT - play pictionary with color homophones.

WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 30TH& October 7th.

Week 1 - students will paint a crayon resist landscape (outdoors is weather permits). The colors used will determine the time of day.
